Mission statement
if you look closely, the financial dimension is only one of eight dimensions in above half-circle, & i can say that it took me 3 decades of my current life to accomplish the intellectual, occupational and financial dimensions, so you can imagine how the rest five will play out, IF at all, but the point of this picture is that i still have 50 more years of work from here (Feb 2024) ..!
i like building Mission & Vision statements, which require more than one lifetime .. & the work i did for my last Mission (2014-2023) was continuation of my past life; otherwise it would not suddenly occur to my to switch profession & life in 2011, just like that as I entered into Rahu MahaDasha; no wonder, in Hinduism, we believe in re-incarnation; & this gives me a reason to say, “hasta la vista, baby ..!“
in 2017, i setup a serious kitchen with a goal of eating 80% home cooked meals, made fresh each day (kept 20% for outside meals to cover for travels), & i never felt better in my life; so much that it has become my second passion (besides finance and trading, of course) ……….. “a happy mind & healthy body” is all i need to make money & both are controlled by the <spicy> food that i eat; the cooking experience turned into the mission for next decade, around holistic living, which includes studying Hinduism, learning & practicing Ayurveda & Yoga, and lots of travels (business, spiritual & explorations, & no fun, just kidding ..!), into an overarching theme of wellness, as
~ explore & learn ways to live in harmony with Nature, to live in a happy mind & healthy body; & with solid action (karma) in accordance with laws of nature and conscience (dharma) ~
which begins with learning about Human Mind & Body – as described in Vision Statements (below), & seems a natural extension of my current research on Human Behavior.
Vision statement [expanded]
– that goal of [my] life is to live happy & healthy [with peace & no stress]
– that human mind has an ability to connect with the universe through Meditation
– that human body is the most sophisticated gadget in this world & Yoga is the owner’s manual ~ Sadhguru
– that a disease is nothing but dis + ease; & a human body is not at ease because its not in harmony with nature ~ Sadhguru
– that the solution to most human health problems can be found in nature (the healthcare package is already provided, and at no cost to you)!
– that human productivity is an outcome of managing energies inside of you (via food you take) and outside of you (people, environment, little universe, & big universe)
– that God has given you everything to have a good life, but also a free-will to have choices; its up to you to align with God’s plan, or ignore his plan and use your free-will or a combination; the hardest thing for humans to do is to have serious self control; i.e. give up your free-will ..!
– that Vedic Astrology provides a space-time map of human life, how your movements are aligned or constrained by gravity as an outcome of solar system (per Einstein’s general theory of relativity) but humans also have a choice, whether to align with universe or use their free-will, just like you have a choice to sail with or against the winds.
– that mathematics is the language of life, which can solve any & all problems & to develop simple solutions; all you have to do is think & act logically & rationally; the opposite approach would be to think illogically & irrationally, which typically leads to complex & expensive solutions; like healthcare as a problem in USA.
plus, couple of caveats from Warren Buffett
– even IF 95% of the people are on one side and believe in something, it doesn’t become truth; rather, its herd behavior (remember rise & fall of GME stock in early 2021)
– price is what you pay, & value is what you get; so, expensive doesn’t mean better product; or a high growth, high-tech company doesn’t necessarily mean better investment returns.
& finally … as an outcome of my research on Human Behavior
– [Human Behavior] people in your little universe are either aligned or not[-aligned] with you, just like planets in big universe; Yes, its boolean from my perspective; life becomes happy when people in your little universe are aligned with you; so don’t try to push anything on anyone, rather let everyone have a choice to be together or not; i.e. find alignment ..!
– [Human Behavior] no comparisons and no competitions – comparisons and competitive behavior are the causes of many human problems; your life has nothing to do with what others do or don’t do; instead think of life as: we all have our zero (when life begins) to become our one (the peak), & we end up as zero (when dead); each one of us follows this 0-1-0 pattern in our own time frame.
– [Human Behavior] some people wake up each day to build a new [war] strategy, when only a finite number of strategies exist in this world, whether you are talking about the marketing strategies by Kotler, Art of War by Sun Tzu, 36 drama plots by Ponti, or works of Shakespeare; most of the strategies possible in a given context are pre-defined (a fixed set); & your best option is to learn about them, and be ready to face the world, rather than spend time in building a new one each day, like what most stock traders do.
in some ways, its the main difference between Newton & Einstein’s thinking.
here is a list of activities that i came up with to accomplish the vision
1) learn Yoga (energy and balance around you), meditation (mental health), & Ayurveda (harmony among the body, food & environment)
2) study Vedic & other Hindu scriptures to understand nature’s cause & effect & universal cycles
3) Astrology & Mathematics – to keep the brain healthy; & not to deal with parkinson
4) travel world-wide: learning cultures & religions; visiting centers of peace & energy world-wide; & relax in the foothills of snow covered mountains and white sand beaches.
5) continue learning human behavior; as i go through this journey and work with others, whom i cross my paths.
& here is what has occurred in preparation thus far leading to the new mission
2018-2023 : focus on my thesis (v3 – v5) as part of Mission & Vision [1]
2018: attended a Bhag.vad.Geeta class at ISKCON, although i started reading the book in 7th grade – Bhag.vad.geeta
2017: experiments with cooking – ingredients of life; which built my fascination with Ayurveda.
2016: watched & listened numerous videos of Sadhguru on human psychology; now i need to visit his places.
2015: visited Mathura & Vrindavan, India – birthplace of Lord Krishna
2015: attended an introductory Astrology class; which took my attention into Universe & ended with the design of Market kundali
& now you would know, how such a wide variety of content exist on this site, because its all about my own personal experience of life ..!
